L'Hôtel Galaxy à Macau

Once the sun sets, the new multi-billion dollar resort and casino Galaxy Macau presents a light show unmatched in the region.

The Galaxy Macau consists of twin towers each with a large central spire and smaller spires on each end. These six prominent architectural features each house a 50-watt yag laser and are lit by LED fixtures.

Every evening four different light shows play along with the custom soundtracks audible from sound systems installed around the resort. Due to the close proximity to the Macau airport, all laser beams terminate on the property so as to not distract air traffic. The buildings glow and pulse with the music, searchlights sweep up into the sky, and a torrent of powerful green laser beams pour down from the spires to rooftops and walls within the resort.

Laser Fantasy’s Alex Hay was in charge of building and installing the six high-powered green lasers each housed in it own rooftop laser room. Six LD2000 systems configured using Pangolin’s .NET laser control units provide the output to the lasers.
